Welcome to Epiphany

Join us for Rally Sunday!!   September 7, 2014 !

  •  Sunday School registration

Sunday the 7th is our Sunday School kick-off with the formal registration of all children into the Sunday School program.  Registration forms, children’s stewardship cards, and children’s time and talent survey cards will be handed out.  Children will meet their teachers and visit their education rooms.

  •  Blessing of the Backpacks

During the 9:30 worship service the backpacks of students of any age will be blessed.  Epiphany backpack tags will be distributed and special prayers and hymns will be sung to celebrate the beginning of the school year.  Children and adults are welcome to bring their packs and are encouraged to invite their friends with their packs, too!

  • Auditions for Winnie the Pooh

This is part of the Sunday School curriculum and there will be opportunities for all children interested in participating (both acting and non-acting roles).  Auditions will take place on September 7th.

Auditions are open to the community and all ages are welcome to participate.  Larger roles will need to audition by September 10th.

Rehearsals will be held September through November.  Larger roles rehearse Fridays 3-5pm; non-speaking roles: Sundays 10:30-11am).

The $30 fee will cover expenses including script and t-shirt.

Performances will be on November 30th.

Contact Heather hkannam@gmail.com or 860-349-4449 for a low-stress audition time!

  •  Expanded Coffee Hour

Coffee Hour will be a bit more expansive than usual and will be organized by Julia and Hugh McCutchen.  If you’d like to help out contact Julia and she’ll tell you what is needed.  Thanks, Julia and Hugh!

A Note About Worship...

The Episcopal Church is part of the Anglican Communion, composed of 110 dioceses in 16 nations. Our Presiding Bishop is Katherine Jefferts Schori, the first female primate in the Anglican Communion. Each diocese within the Episcopal Church elects its own bishop.

Our worship centers around weekly Eucharist. All baptized Christians are welcome at our table. We are a liturgical church, and our liturgy expresses what we believe. Most of our liturgy is found in The Book of Common Prayer or newer supplemental texts.

Click here to access our Lectionary Page to view our upcoming liturgical calendar.

Sanctuary is handicap accessible.
