Interim Rector Fr. Anthony C. Dinoto
Introducing our Interim Rector
The selection of the Rev'd Anthony Charles Dinoto as the Interim Rector of the Church of the Epiphany has been approved by the Rt. Rev'd Ian T. Douglas, Bishop of Connecticut.
Fathere Dinoto began his ministry at Epiphany on Sunday, September 18, 2011. He is serving the parish in a half-time capacity.
A native of Stonington, Connecticut, Father Tony is married to Susan Payne Dinoto, a Westerly, Rhode Island, native. They are the parents of thre adult daughters: Kate, Eleanor and Sidney; and are grandparents to Hannah, age 8, who lives with them at their home in Ledyard, along with her Norwich Terrier, Desmond Toto.
Fr. Tony received his Master of divinity degree from The General theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City. He wa ordained transitional deacon by Bishop Coleridge in 1999 and was ordained priest in 2000 at Christ Episcopal Church, Greenwich, Connecticut, by Bishop Smith. His parish ministry has included serving at Christ Church in Greewich; Christ Epispocal Church in Westerly; St. Alban's in Danielson, Connecticut; and most recently as Interim Rector for two years at Christ Episcopal Church in Guilford Connecticut.
Prior to his seminary studies and ordination, Fathere Tony enjoyed a successful 25-year career as a funeral director in Mystic. Although he is retired from funeral service, the Dinoto's continue to own Dinoto Funeral Home in Mystic.
Father Tony's pastimes include golf, reading, collecting antique British toy soldiers and cooking.
