Capital Improvements

What's Going on at Epiphany?

Our renovation and capital improvements will begin in the spring of 2011!  Thanks to grants from the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism, we were able to hire Newman Architects in New Haven, CT to first conduct a Planning and Survey study of our facility and then to design our upcoming improvements.

What’s going to happen?  We’ll be adding a handicap ramp to the back of our building so our parish hall will be fully accessible.  This will include a generous deck large enough for summer coffee hours.  Two handicap accessible bathrooms will be added as well as additional storage.  The two offices off the parish hall will be removed to make better use of our footprint.  We will be adding an outside oil storage tank and a new triple sink in our kitchen.  The parish hall will get new energy efficient windows, as well as flooring, lighting and overhead fans.

Other Ways to Give

Marcia Lattime Organ Fund

Restoration is needed for our amazing Hook & Hastings Organ, 1893.

Our Opus #1549 tracker organ boasts 547 pipes, of which 131 are of wood. Decoration is original. The organ was handpumped from 1893 to around 1920 when public electricity became available in Durham.

Marcella Brayton Stained Glass Window Fund

We are raising funds for the restoration of our exquisite collection of stained glass windows. This includes replacing the scratched lexan with new storm windows to allow the vibrant colors and artistry to be seen from the outside of our church.
